Solid Home Life LP out now (members of Graves and LAKE)
Hey! Did you know that the Solid Home Life LP is out now?! BECAUSE IT IS.
Co-released by People In A Position To Know, Fin Records, and Curly Cassettes!
It’s the debut album from Greg Olin (Graves) and Lindsay Schief (LAKE), with accompaniment by friends like Karl Blau, Nate Ashley, and many others. An instant classic. I honestly can’t stop listening to this record.
Limited to 500 copies on “sea-blue” vinyl. $12 + shipping.
We’ve got 100 copies for sale. Get it from us, any of the other record labels that co-released it, or fine record stores around Seattle and Olympia.
Buy it in the Lost Sound Tapes online shop!

Winnie Byrd/Glass Cake tape out now
Split Tape Shipping Now
Winnie Byrd/Glass Cake tapes are shipping now,
you can purchase it from the store page for $5.
We all know that Oakland has a thriving, long running punk scene. Well did you know there’s a healthy folk community there too? Winnie Byrd and Glass Cake are certainly at the forefront of that. I played a Blanket Truth show with both of them around Christmastime 2009 at Michelle (Glass Cake)’s house and it was a blast.
Winnie Byrd is the side project of Davyd Nereo of Beatbeat Whisper, a carefully crafted sibling folk duo. It differs from Beatbeat Whisper by bouncing around through folk pop, country twang, and classical baroque.
Glass Cake writes some seriously heartbreaking yet catchy and uplifting songs. Her voice makes you feel like you’re riding a rollercoaster that hits a dip in the track. Recommended for fans of Watercolor Paintings. It’s no coincidence Michelle Shofet of Glass Cake and Rebecca Redman of Watercolor Paintings are in Girl Band together along with Mallory Watje of Mammary.
First edition of 100 copies, with digital download, hand stamped covers and full color labels on clear purple tapes. Cover illustration by Jeff Stratford.

Winnie Byrd/Glass Cake split cassette tape
This tape is sooooo close to being done. The cover is designed, the tapes have been duplicated. I just need to design the labels, print it all out, stamp the covers and assemble them.
First edition of 100 copies, clear purple tapes, full color printing, and a download code.
Sneak preview of the whole tape over at Bandcamp
We’ll start taking orders for this one on or before November 15th.

VERY FEW LATHE-CUT 7″s LEFT
Lost Sound Tapes lathe-cut 7″ subscription series records are now available for individual sale. Some people had asked me about this awhile back but I had said no. Well, I’ve still got some, so I might as well make them available for people who just want one or two of them. They are $10 a piece.
There are only 8 COPIES LEFT of most records available, and only 3 COPIES LEFT of Stephen Steinbrink’s 7″. 50 copies each were made of all 6 records that feature these bands:

iji new album Kickstarter project
Zach Burba aka iji is looking to release his new full length album “YERSELF” on vinyl!
So he’s created a Kickstarter fundraiser campaign to let people help make it a reality.
Donate money and get a digital copy of the album before it’s released regardless of whether the project gets funded or not.
There are some other nice incentives for donating too.
