Providence Popfest May 1-3, 2026

The inaugural Providence Popfest will be happening May 2026! It is being organized by Zoë and James of Time Thief / Musical Fanzine Records.

Featuring many Lost Sound Tapes artists and friends.

Travel seems to get a little more difficult and complicated every year. So I hope I get to see a lot of you east coast friends at Providence Popfest!

A very limited number of early bird/full weekend passes for Providence Popfest will be available for purchase here on Friday 12/12 at 12:00PM EST!

Individual day passes will be available for purchase in January. Updates will be posted here, as well as on the PVD Popfest instagram page.

Note from the organizers: We aim to be intentional in creating a diverse and inclusive popfest, both sonically and otherwise. Rather than keeping within the confines of any sort of strict definition of indie pop, we are rounding out bills with jangle pop, post punk, and other genres where there has historically been lots of overlap. Additionally, in curating Providence Popfest, we sought out/prioritized bands that reflected the (various, multifaceted) perspectives of queer and trans folks and women in indiepop. It is extremely important to us to create an atmosphere where we, and folks like us, can feel at ease, at home, and in community.
