This is the ninth iji release on LST and the first since 2016's "Bubble", certainly a cause for celebration!

Here's what Zach Burba (iji) has to say about this release:
The songs on this tape were recorded on my Fostex 4 track in my apartment in Glendale California. I wrote them over a handful of years for a new album, but i had so many and was confused about which ones I should record and how they would fit together. I sent a zip file of all of these songs to a handful of friends and asked for feedback. The responses were incredibly varied and I wound up just admitting to myself I already knew which ones I wanted to focus on. I rerecorded 15 of these songs at Tropico Beauty and released 12 of them as the album "Automatically". The remaining 3 B-Sides are also featured on this tape as the last tracks on side B. I recorded these demos with the intention to release them alongside the final recordings. It's a general rule of science that the demos are always better. As much as l often believe that, I still am called to making shiny versions of the songs anyway. I'm not sure why.
Sometimes I think I could just write down descriptions of the songs and that would be good enough. Listening is an imagination game for most of us I think. If you somehow wind up listening to both the Automatically studio recordings and the demo versions, please let me know which one you like more. Also if there are any songs on here that didn't make the record that you would like to hear a studio recording of, also let me know.
No promises.
Love,
ZACH BURBA
