Released by Jigsaw Records, PZL070.
Hailing from Anacortes, a small seaside town in Washington, the Crabs have long been a favorite of mine, from their early singles on local label Knw-Yr-Own to their four magical albums on Olympia's K Records. Simple boy/girl indiepop from an adorable couple, Lisa & Jonn, on drums and guitar, though they were joined by Sarah Dougher on keyboards for their last incarnation in 1999. A lot of time has passed since they stopped playing regularly, and in that time they busied themselves with family life. Recently, however, they recorded a handful of songs (with their two kids as backing members!) and shared them on their bandcamp page. I felt these songs deserved better than that, so here they are on a handy cdep! If you're a fan of playful indiepop in the vein of Beat Happening or Courtney Love/Lois, then you'll be quite delighted with this li'l EP!
Not limited. All songs written by The Crabs. Available digitally on the band's Bandcamp.
